DEMONSTRATION OF ENVREV AT JUVAC MEETING

On December 8, 2022, the WTA Team provided a demonstration of their custom-built Environmental Review Process (EnvREV) to the attendees of the Joint Utility Vendor Audit Consortium (JUVAC), during the organization's quarterly meeting held at the Los Angeles La Kretz Innovation Campus (La Kretz).

WTA built EnvREV from the ground up for one of JUVAC's members, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), going live in October 2019. Under the direction of LADWP's Chief Sustainability Officer, Nancy Sutley, WTA worked closely with her team to design and develop a web-based solution to streamline the extensive environmental permitting requirements for capital construction and maintenance projects. The JUVAC team members were impressed with the efficiency and intuitive nature of EnvREV in solving a complex process to ensure compliance with the myriad of environmental requirements for construction projects.

JUVAC is comprised of seven utilities on the West Coast who meet regularly to collaborate on their environmental programs, best practices, and vendor audits while working together to reduce environmental risk and implement sustainable solutions within their industry. It was an honor for WTA to present a highly effective solution to the JUVAC team members in such a unique location as La Kretz where science, entrepreneurship, environmentalism, and policymaking merge to advance the development of a sustainable future.
